St Monica Primary School

Absence Procedure

If your child cannot attend school, parents/carers are required to contact the school no later than 9.00am.

You can inform us of your child’s absence using the  in-app messaging system on Arbor, by sending an email to info.stm@ilpartnership.org or by calling us on 023 8039 9870 and selecting option 1.

Failure to inform school of your child’s absence will trigger our safeguarding procedures and this may result in a visit to your home. It is imperative that you inform us when your child is not able to attend school.

Wherever possible, we would ask that medical appointments be made outside of the school day, although we understand that this is not always possible. If your child does need to attend a medical appointment, i.e. dentist, doctors, hospital etc., you may be asked to provide evidence of this appointment. This can be in the form of a compliment slip from the surgery/appointment card/text/email, giving your child’s name and date of appointment, bearing an official signature and stamp.
