Festive artwork is spreading cheer from Southampton to Downing Street and beyond.
Three pupils from St Monica Primary School in Southampton were named winner and runners-up of this year’s Christmas card competition organised by Darren Paffey, MP for Southampton Itchen, with their designs now featured on his official card.
The competition, open to all primary school children in the constituency, received more than 300 entries.
Mr Paffey said: "It’s no exaggeration to say that choosing the winners from hundreds of fantastic entries was one of hardest things I’ve had to do this year.
"We’ve got so many fantastically creative children in Southampton and I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to enter.
"A huge well done to Robyn, Georgia, and Hugo who approached this year’s theme of 'What does Christmas in Southampton mean to you' with creativity and style.
"The office post sack is already filling up with cards and I can’t wait to get their fantastic designs out to people across the city and beyond.”
Robyn, aged 9, created the winning design, which appears on the front of the card and depicts a colourful Christmas scene featuring Santa near the city walls.
Runners-up Georgia, also 9, and Hugo, 8, have their designs displayed on the back of the card.
On Thursday, Mr Paffey visited the school to congratulate the pupils and present them with copies of the final cards.
The cards have already reached some of the country’s most prominent figures, with one delivered to the Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP, and another hand-delivered to the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street.

Cards will also be sent to the King and Queen, community leaders, and many others across Southampton and further afield.
Richard Waghorn, head of school, and Hayley Clark, interim principal at St Monica Primary School, said: "We are incredibly proud of Robyn, Georgia, and Hugo for their creativity.
"Seeing their designs celebrated on the MP’s Christmas card and even reaching 10 Downing Street and the King and Queen is a wonderful recognition of their achievement.
"The children have demonstrated our value of innovation; thinking creatively to design their cards.
"We are delighted that our pupils’ work is being celebrated so widely."
